From council farm to brand new setup

It has been a far from con-ventional journey for dairy farmers James and Louise Macpherson, who made a name for themselves and their Beaufort herd of British Friesians on a county council farm in Dorset.However, the couple, who both hail from the Staffordshire area and met while studying at Harper Adams University, decided to take stock and sell the herd after eight years on the starter farm which they had quickly outgrown.
