You have been heavily involved with the introduction of this dry near-infrared (NIR) technique, so how significant a change do you think this is for the industry?It is a major change as it brings a lot more accuracy to feeding cows. It goes back to the work of 30 years ago when the industry started with dry NIRbut went to wet NIR because it had a faster turnaround time. We were told wet NTR was going to be more accurate, but we have come to realise it has flaws.
