The role and tasks of co-operative banks in restructuring agriculture and efficiency of labour resources in Poland's rural areas

Agriculture and rural areas in Poland need to be thoroughly restructured to start this difficult and, certainly, long process may lead to the emergence of numerous social and economic threats. This is the reason why structural changes in agricultureand rural areas are one of the priorities of the Polish economic policy. Poland's current negotiations on the integration of its economy with the European Union also confirm the need for structural changes since Polish agriculture and food economy do notmeet the standards of the common European market.
