American Tree Farm System Seeks Input on Revised Standards for Tree Farmers

In 2010, the American Tree Farm System (ATFS), a program of the American Forest Foundation became a certified program in addition to the recognition program members and supporters are familiar with. Because the Tree Farm Program is a certification program endorsed by the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), it is required to review its standards every five years.The review allows the program to incorporate new scientific developments, clarify vague or confusing parts of the standard, and solicit feedback from many interested parties.
