Number needed to screen: Appropriate use of this new basis for screening mammography guidelines

There have been many questions regarding the mechanics of recording and tracking MOC participation because of the diverse practice settings across the country. The ABR has been working to make the process more flexible and user friendly. To that end, the ABR is now beta testing a streamlined option, allowing practices to designate administrators who will sign on and manage the ABR PDBs of the diplomates in the group's practice. The program has other features of benefit to medium-sized and large groups, including batch reporting. In addition, the ABR will soon offer a 10% "whole-practice discount" of MOC fees for groups of two or more physicians who have 100% MOC participation.
