The annual IPM Essen nursery trade show in Germany is the biggest in the world, attracting 1,538 exhibitors from 46 countries and 54,000 visitors (52,800 in 2019). British interest is high and with Brexit day (31 January) coming immediately after theevent (28-30 January), importers and exporters were keen to keep the flow of plants across the Channel smooth by reacquainting themselves with their continental partners.Essen sees the launch of many influential plants that dominate catalogues and awards in the UK later in the year.
