Driver's death during 'tea and chat' lands 1m pounds fine

A delivery driver killed by a forklift collision while waiting for his lorry to be unloaded at the yard of manufacturer Glynwed Pipe Systems was having a cup of tea and a chat to another worker when he was struck and killed, the HSE's investigating inspector has revealed. Glynwed Pipe Systems of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, a manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipe systems for the construction sector, was fined ?lm at Cambridge Crown Court over the fatal accident on 21 April 2015.
