Tube worker in 9.5m liftshaft fall

London Underground has been fined 500,000 pounds after a maintenance worker was injured falling 9.5m from a scaffold tower at the disused South Kentish Town station in 2014. London Underground was sentenced at Blackfriars Crown Court on 2 December, following an investigation by the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) into an incident on 22 September 2014.
