Risk assessment culture in decline, says TUC survey, as stress tops reps' caseload

In a TUC survey of official union safety reps across all sectors and industries, 80% of 1,073 respondents reported that their employer had carried out a formal risk assessment in 2018. However, only 47% felt confident that these had been adequate. The TUC says that "the standout worst industry in this area was education", where only 25% of respondents said that their employer had conducted an adequate risk assessment.
