Pathophysiology of osteoarthritis

This report analyses the pathophysiology of osteoarthritis, starting with a description of the main macroscopic alterations of the articular cartilage, subchondral bone and synovial membrane, subsequently describing the microscopic characteristics and finally identifying the underlying molecular and biochemical mechanisms.
