Partnership/AI/R&D/Safety: Volvo Trucks North America teams up with Perceptive Automata and DHE in development of human behaviour prediction system to improve road safety

USA - Volvo Trucks North America Inc (VTNA) of Greensboro, North Carolina, alongside automated vehicle software provider, Perceptive Automata and customer, Dependable Highway Express (DHE), has unveiled a collaborative innovation project designed to strengthen safety capabilities for the trucking industry through automation. This project utilises human intuition artificial intelligence, which 'reads' the intention and awareness of vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, cyclists and other motorists, to enhance the situational awareness of truck drivers.
