The Philippines - Light/Medium/Heavy segments: Pickup truck sales growth accelerates 9% in Q2 and increased by 16% in the first half year

The Philippines - Sales of pickup trucks continued to grow in the second quarter, by almost 9% to 19,895 units from already strong year-earlier volumes of 18,264 units. First-half sales were close to 16% higher at 35,042 units from 30,290 units previously. The performances of the individual brands varied significantly in this period, however. Toyota reported a drop of more than 7% in Hilux sales to 10,570 units in the first six months of the year, while Nissan Navara sales jumped by close to 59% to 9,863 units after similarly strong growth a year earlier. Ford reported a 20% rise in Ranger sales to 6,575 uni9ts, while Mitsubishi made the strongest gains, with Triton deliveries jumping by more than 144% to 4,383 units. Isuzu's sales dropped by almost 26% in the first six months of the year to 2,829 units, however.
