摘要

A theoretical contact model of revolute joints with planar rough contacting surface is established in this paper. The influence of roughness is introduced in this model. The effects of impact velocity, restitution coefficient and roughness on dynamic characteristics are analyzed. The simulation results show they have great influence on contact force and deformation. A slider-crank mechanism is used as an example to study the contact model with a planar revolute clearance joint. The computational simulations are compared with experimental results published in the literature. The simulation results tally with experiment results, and the robustness of the model is testified. This study has shown that roughness in the contact model has a strong dynamic interaction in the mechanism with joint clearance.
