At last, Andrew Hall sets about making the sprag for the winch, which brings this regular series to a close. During the last dozen or so issues I have mentioned the sprag (anchor) several times, as the original had been removed, along with the control levers. My original intention was to use the discarded roll frame from the Dexta project as the basis for the sprag, but when I measured the length of the frame it was too short, as the lower ends had been damaged by frost and the metal had split outwards.
