CHINA: Lomon Billions Will Have 260,000 t.p.a. of CP Pigment Capacity by End-2019

Lomon Billions is pushing ahead with its programme to establish itself as a major global supplier of chloride-process TiCh pigment thanks to internal expansion in Henan and acquisition of another chloride-process plant in Yunnan. In the year to end-December 2018, Lomon Billions produced 65,000 tonnes of chloride-route pigment, compared against 54,000 tonnes in the previous year. Its latest estimate of 2019 chloride-route pigment output - disclosed at the TZMI New York Conference in mid-May 2019 - was 100,000-110,000 tonnes. Evidently, the timetable has slipped somewhat. At the SmithersRapra Boston Conference (October 2018), Lomon Billions was forecasting 2019 chloride-route pigment output at 150,000-200,000 tonnes.
