AUSTRALIA: TNG Revises Scale of Darwin TiO2 Pigment Project to 100,000 t.p.a.

TNG Ltd. (headquartered in Subiaco, near Perth) is making good progress on its vertically integrated project to mine the Mount Peake vanadium/titanium/iron deposit, process the ore to recover a high-grade TiO2 feedstock and produce finished TiO2 pigment products, employing a specially modified version of conventional sulfate-route technology. The deposit at Mount Peake is located 235 km north of Alice Springs and 1100 km south of Darwin (the provincial capital and main port in Northern Territory). The processing facilities will be located within the Middle Arm Industrial Precinct in the Darwin Harbour area and the finished products will be shipped out via the port of Darwin.
