SOUTH AFRICA: Nyanza Receives Approval to Proceed with 70,000 t.p.a. Pigment Project

Nyanza Light Metals Ltd. has been granted authorisation by the Kwazulu-Natal environmental authority - the Department of Economic Development, Tourism & Environmental Affairs - to proceed with its project to establish a 70,000 t.p.a. TiO2 pigment plant, using as feedstock the accumulated slag from the Highveld Steel & Vanadium smelter. The permit was granted following review of the environmental impact report submitted in early June 2019.
