KOREA, SOUTH: Taekyung/SB Chemical Makes Nano-TiO2 Using Proprietary Process

SB Chemical Ltd. has begun operating a small unit for making nanoparticulate TiO2, suitable for use in cosmetics and sunscreen products. The unit is located at the company's Gunsan chemical complex on the mid-west coast of South Korea, in Jeollabuk province. It is currently producing 240,000 kilos per annum and this will be raised to 600,000 kilos per annum by the end of 2020. The TiO2 product is marketed to cosmetics companies under the brandname Telika.
