摘要

To ensure the corrosion resistance property of girth welds of clad or lined pipes, nickel based alloy consumable is often utilized, indicating that the yield strength of base metal is higher than that of weld metal. To test the fracture toughness of the undermatched weld metal, the plastic eta factors for clamp-end single-edge tension specimens with various configurations and different undermatched levels are determined based on detailed 3D finite element analyses. Finally, a set of equations of the plastic eta factor is developed.
