Maverick Downhole Tools was born during the worst of the recent oil price slump. Yet it quickly made its mark as a company that could invent, modify, or fine-tune any piece of equipment needed in the wellbore to complete a well. So far, it has been awarded one patent in America with another pending in Canada. Not bad for a trio of oilfield guys who used their severance to fund their Edmonton, AB start-up.
