Service Learning Via Distance Learning: A Unique Learning Combination

摘要

The course instructor reorganized a Health Services Marketing course to include a service learning project. The students demonstrated multiple competencies of healthcare marketing and professionalism, yet never actually met the service learning organizational leaders in-person. Thegoal is to demonstrate the benefits of health service learning marketing courses. We introduce a service learning organization and course assignment as our pedagogical model. Challenges and best practices are identified with group-level distance learning.
