摘要

As a common electrode choice for neural stimulation and activity recording, platinum is often roughened to enhance its performance due to surface area increase and impedance decrease. A well-established roughening method for thick Pt macroelectrodes such as wires and foils is treatment with 1-2 kHz oxidation-reduction pulses.
