CSE stirs residue issue in India

The Indian Centre for Science and Environment(CSE)has made fresh claims of excessive pesticide residues,this time in food.The CSE caused controversy last year when it issued a report on residues in soft drinks,which prompted an investigation by an Indian Parliamentary Committee(Agrow No 439,p 15)and government proposals to tighten residue standards(Agrow No 434,p 23).
