The Red Dot Award: Product Design is the revered international seal of outstanding design quality. The prizes, created in 1955, are given annually at a ceremony in Essen, Germany. This award rewards the international excellence of products and designs from differentfields. The innovating Flat-5XL BorjaJET roof tile has been recognized by the jury as one of the best products of the year, for its innovation and high quality. The international jury comprises experienced experts from different disciplines and has been convening for more than 60 years in order to select the year's best designs.

The collaborations analysed span academia, civil society and government, from the grassroots to the national and global levels.
