Effect of latex sticker adjuvants on retention of fungicide captan on apple leaves

Fresh apple shoots (twigs with leaves) placed in pots with damp sand were treated with N-(trichlorometylotio) cyclohex-4-eno-1,2-dikarboxyamide (captan) fungicide optionally in mixts. with com. polyalkylene oxide heptamethylenetrisiloxane latex sticker adiuvant in a stationary spray chamber. After 1 and 4 h, the apple samples were sprayed in the irrigation chamber simulating rainfall intensity of 10 L/m(2). After irrigation, leaf samples were studied for residue of captan by GC/EC chromatog. Regardless of the time after the pptn., a significant increase of captan retention on the apple leaves on object with latex sticker adjuvant was obsd.
