Agric groups condemn tack of EU action on minor crops

European agricultural groups have criticised the European Commission for not meeting its deadline to review the availability of agrochemicals for use on minor crops. Under the EU agrochemical registration Regulation (1107/2009), the Commission was required to produce a report on the issue by December 14th 2011 (Agrow No 654, p 6). A year later, "the ongoing delay of publication of this report is not encouraging for European agriculture," highlights a statement on behalf of ten agriculture and food-chain groups, including the European Crop Protection Association (ECPA).
