Chinese agrochemical company Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical's pesticide sales remained level in the first half of 2011 with the same period last year, increasing just 0.1% to Yuan 960.9 million ($150.6 million at the current rate). The company's largest product category, insecticides, was the only sector to see growth during the first half, with sales increasing 20.6% to Yuan 695.4 million ($109 million). Herbicide sales were down 31.9% to Yuan 228.1 million ($35.8 million).
