The circulation of fake pesticides in the Ukrainian market and lack of regulatory efforts to counter them risks a "substantial reduction" in the expected inflow of investments into the country's agricultural sector, warns the Ukrainian industry body, the European Business Association (EBA). It says that the international community is "extremely concerned" at the lack of efficient action and warning growers and law enforcement bodies about the potentially dangerous export of Ukrainian produce treated with illegal pesticides.
