The first step in being a successful farm manager is keeping good accuraterecords, which can be helpful in planning, innovations, improvements and making proper management decisions. Without written records, farmers have to depend on their memory for making decisions to modify farm practices. Memories can become unreliable, particularly after a few days, months or years.
