Not before time,a standard has been prepared to regulate the competence and training levels of personnel working in the cathodic protection industry.With the importance of Asset Integrity and Risk Management,of which cathodic protection plays an important part,it is essential that personnel who carry out this work have proved their competence through training and experience.The days of giving an operator a half-cell and a meter,five minutes training and sending him off to carry out a potential survey must be numbered to retain credence for our industry.
