THE OCTG MARKET

At our forecasting conference this pastSeptember we had experts from Genscape,S&P Global Platts, and BTU Analytics givepresentations on expectations for upstreamactivity for 2019-2021. We then turned thatinto an OCTG forecast. We have fine-tunedthat data based on additional informationgained throughout the last few weeks. Octoberhas been an interesting month in terms of oilprice. At least in part, it mirrored the DOW –reaching the highest level in the year only to falland wipe out just about all the gain year-to-date. We’ve written in the Weekly about howone day concerns about supply causes theprice to fall and the next day concerns aboutsupply causes the price to rise.
