As people around the country take a short break to enjoy their glazed ham and roast pork, it presents both an opportunity to reflect on the year that was and also the priorities for the one ahead.I was pleased to join APL in 2019 and this role has revealed important similarities between the pig industry and other livestock industries.These include prosecuting the ethical, environmental and economic credentials of our industries as we face pressure from anti-meat activists, for increased transparency and, also, the emergence of imitation meat.
