European polyolefins producers were unable to further improve their margins in November. Instead, high prices and the subsequent reluctance on the part of buyers to place new orders are forcing suppliers to make initial price cuts. This tendency is likely to continue for a while until producers' costs rise again, and prevent them from granting further reductions.
