Midstream players add gas processing capacity to Permian Delaware

As associated gas in the Permian Basin continues to surge, especially in the Delaware, midstream companies are adding processing capacity to prevent producers from higher natural gas flaring or having to choke back crude oil production. Ares Management and ARM Energy on April 16 announced plans to develop the Salt Creek Midstream company in the Permian’s Delaware Basin. They plan to add 260 MMcf/d of gas processing capacity by year’s end with more to be brought online in the coming years as additional producers tie into the system.
