The study was conducted at the Valentine Turfgrass Research Center, University Park, PA, on an approximately 95% creeping bentgrass and 5% annual bluegrass putting green, mowed five times per week at a height 0.1 in. The soil was a Hagerstown silt loam with a pH of 7.1. The experimental area received 0.5 lb N per 1000 sq ft on 1 May, and no N was applied during the course of the experiment. Acelepryn was applied on 14 Jun at 0.2 oz per 1000 sq ft. Plots were 3 ft x 6 ft, and arranged in a randomizedcomplete block design with four replications. Applications were made with a CO2-powered sprayer using a TeeJet XR11008E nozzle at 45 psi in a water carrier equivalent to 2.0 gal per 1000 sq ft. Dollar spot incidence (number of necrotic spots per plot) was assessed on 19, and 29 Jun, 6, 13, 20, and 27 Jul, and 3 Aug. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and means separation using Tukey's HSD (P > 0.05).
