The main theses relating to a discrete representation of Pauli-allowed states are given. Using this representation, the effect of the Pauli exclusion principle on collisions between light atomic nuclei is studied within the resonating-group method. The Fock-Bargmann representation is a specific feature of the method that provides a simple description of the dynamical phenomena accompanying the collision processes. The He-6 + He-6 and He-8 + He-4 nuclear systems are examined in order to provide actual and nontrivial examples. The cross sections for inelastic scattering, taking into account the excitation of interacting subsystems, and the effective cross sections for reactions involving rearrangement of the colliding nuclei are estimated.
