摘要

We review the recent progress in the identification of graphical objects by the so-called geometric correlation methods. We describe historical premises of these methods, and review the principles for designing the features utilized in constructing the recognition methods. The identification methods themselves are also considered, and the quality of their performance is analyzed. Statistical methods for setting the classification tolerance and the factors affecting the identification's precision are considered as well.
