Libya's NOC has lifted force majeure measures at an oil field and four eastern ports, paving the way for production to rebound. The terminals - Zueitina, Marsa el-Hariga, Es Sider and Ras Lanuf - are returning to normal operations. Force majeure measures had been in place at Es Sider and Ras Lanuf since mid-June, and at the other two sites since 2 July. NOC has been trying to prevent a rival, unrecognised firm based in the east of the country from taking over crude loadings. The Libyan National Army (LNA) supports the rival NOC entity and tried to stop vessels from entering the ports. But the LNA has now decided to "put the national interest above all else", NOC says. This follows a move by Libya's UN-backed interim government towards greater transparency over Libyan oil revenues.
