Russia could lift crude output by a further 200,000-300,000 b/d if needed, President Vladimir Putin told Russian Energy Week in Moscow on 3 October. Production has already risen since restraints under the Opec/non-Opec deal were eased in July, reaching a post-Soviet high of 11.3mn b/d last month - restoring Russia’s pledged cut of 300,000 b/d in 2017-18 and above the 11.18mn b/d October 2016 baseline for the restraint.
