Crop or Not, Make Your Native Timbre Happier & Healthier

It is hard to believe we are already in the middle of another growing season. Just as they always are, this year has been anything but normal.First, there was the protracted bud break period due to the lack of adequate chilling hours. We had a couple of Arctic Express cold fronts this past winter, but it has always been thought that the best chill takes place somewhere between 45 degrees Fahrenheit and 32 F. So even though we had some really cold weather, we did not have sufficient hours at the above temperature range for some of the trees to break bud; interestingly enough, all the trees eventually leafed out.
