The demand for hot rolled plate is fair, in the United States. Construction sector activity is at quite a high level. Offers from European plate producers are subject to US import tariffs and, therefore, less abundant. Nevertheless, delivery lead times, for hot rolled coil and plate, from local mills, are very short. Domestic prices are, consequently, softening.
