Challenging first quarter for Schmolz + Bickenbach

Sales volume at Schmolz + Bickenbach increased slightly to 551,000 tonnes in the first quarter from 545,000 tonnes in quarter one, 2018; additional volumes from Ascometal levelled out reduced demand. Average sales price per tonne increased to Euro1,605, from Euro1,521 in quarter one, 2018 and Euro1,597 in quarter four, 2018. The company expects adjusted EBITDA between Euro190m and Euro230m for 2019.
