Nokian sells Vianor stores to Point S dealer

The Dalles, Ore.-based Gills Point S Tire & Auto Service, the largest Point S dealer in the country, has acquired 10 Vianor Tire Center locations throughout New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Massachusetts from Nokian Tyres pic. The stores will operate under the Gills Point S Tire & Auto Service name. The acquisition gives Gills Point S 27 locations, including 17 in Oregon and 10 in New England. "Point S has a great and growing relationship with Nokian Tyres," says Eric Gill, the dealership's president. (He also is the chairman of Point S' board in the United States.) "When the opportunity arose to take over the Vianor stores, we thought it would be the perfect time to bring the Point S Tire & Auto name into a new market."
