Effect of phosphorus and potash on yield, quality and economics of oat fodder (Avena sativa L.).

A field experiment was conducted during the rabi season of2007-2008 at the Experimental field of College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Imphal to evaluate the effect of phosphorus and potash on the yield and quality of oat fodder. Onthe basis of results, the highest green and dry fodder yield, protein content and protein yield was attained with the application of 40 kg P_2O_5/ha. Maximum gross and net income and benefit cost ratio were achieved with the application of 40 kg P_2O_5/ha and 20 kg K_2Q.
