When Caterpillar, Inc. announced in August 2018 that it was selling its purpose-built forestry machinery line to Weiler, Inc., Caterpillar logging customers were left wondering what the future held for their machines. In addition to long-standing, even multi-generational relationships with various Caterpillar dealers, many loggers had recently purchased Cat equipment and naturally they grew anxious about their recent investments.
