In stark contrast to the gloomy fall out from COVID-19, the news from the warehousing and logistics industry continues to be largely positive. While some of the UK's major companies, including British Airways, Marks & Spencer and BP, have cut an estimated 100.000 jobs due to the pandemic, online giant Amazon has announced 7,000 new UK jobs this year to meet growing demand and Tesco is to create 16,000 new permanent posts in the light of online sales doubling in just 20 weeks.
