摘要

Wireless multimedia sensors network comprised of audio, video and scalar sensor nodes. There are several design challenges to realize WMSN like high bandwidth requirement, application specific QoS requirement, energy consumption, coverage, and resource constrains etc. This paper proposes a Fuzzy clustered ant based XL-WMSN (FA-XLWMSN) to optimize the QoS parameters such as throughput, jitter, packet delivery ratio and delay. Simulation is carried out in NS2 environment. Performance of the proposed method is analyzed by varying data rate, interval, duty cycle and number of nodes. AntSenseNet protocol is used to optimize the route hence delay while cross layering principle is used to improve the throughput and to minimize the delay. Fuzzy clustering helps to reduce the dead nodes and energy consumption. It was observed that there was about 42% increase in throughput and 43% in packet delivery ratio while delay and control overheads were minimized by 46% and 31% in FA-XLWMSN.
