摘要

Punicalagin with nanofibers of polyvinyl alcohol was produced by electrospinning and examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Following routine surgical preparation, a 3cm circle of dorsal cervical skin was excised from groups of 10 rats each.Treated rats were given nanofiber with punicalagin daily for 7 consecutive days and controls were given nanofiber but without punicalagin. At 7 and 20 days later, rats were euthanized and biopsies were taken to determine hydroxyproline content. Rats treated punicalagin showed significant increases in hydroxyproline content by 7 days (1.41 ±0.111 mug/mg tissue) compared with controls (1.05 ±0.140 mug/mg tissue). These results suggest that treatment with punicalagin nanofibers may have increase collagenbiosynthesis in rat wounds.
