A Novel Medial Collateral Ligament Reconstruction Technique Using Internally Braced Semitendinosus Autograft

Medial collateral ligament reconstruction is often performed in knees with multiligamentous injury, and numerous techniques have been previously described. A novel method of internally bracing and reconstructing the medial collateral ligament with a semitendinosus autograft is described. This provides several advantages, including reproducible isometric graft placement, optimized fixation strength, and internal bracing.
