Industry doing the hard graft over labour problems

New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers Incorporated (NZKGI) has commissioned a seasonal labour analysis following a shortage of about 1,200 workers at the start of the 2018 season.Chief executive Nikki Johnson gave a 'soft launch' of the analysis at this year's Mystery Creek Fieldays which will be followed by a 'hard launch' in August aimed at attracting the attention of the government, politicians and the wider media.
